
Larry Cain (President of FAST) was a three time Olympian and member of Canada's National Canoe Team for 17 years from 1979 to 1996. He is a 1984 Olympic gold and silver medallist. He currently is a member of Canada's National Dragon Boat Team and was a 4 time world champion in 2001. He is a Physical Education teacher at St. Mildred's-Lightbourn School in Oakville and the current President of FAST. His accomplishments have been recognized by his induction into Canada's Sports Hall of Fame and the Order of Canada.
Sarah Eyton has a B.A. Honours from the University of Western Ontario and an LL.B. from the University of British Columbia. Sarah practiced corporate/commercial and securities law at the firm of Tory Tory DesLauriers & Binnington for four years. From 1999 until September 2001, Sarah was the Director of the Finance Committee of the Toronto 2008 Olympic and Paralympic Bid. Sarah was the key Bid staff member involved in formation of the Foundation for Athletes and Sport Training and, together with John Wilkinson, negotiated the matching agreement with the Province of Ontario. Sarah has extensive experience with non-profit organizations and currently volunteers with five charities and foundations.
Ann Peel is Director of the Havergal Institute at Havergal College, a post she assumed in the spring of 2006 following a period at Magna International as the Director of Corporate Social Responsibility. Ann went to Magna from her previous post as the Executive Director of Right to Play, a Toronto-based NGO working in the field of sport and international development. Prior to that, Ann practiced commercial law, managed and founded several NGO’s, including the Canadian Athletes Association (now Athletes CAN); and won numerous medals for Canada as a member of the National Track and Field Team from 1979 to 1992. She now coaches young cross country skiers with her two sons.
