FAST – Foundation for Athletes and Sport Training

FAST was created by athletes who have competed internationally to support developing athletes in Canada to achieve their dreams. We are athletes, supported by a Board of Directors including non-athletes, committed to championing your dreams because your dreams matter! FAST is a charitable organization, incorporated federally. We wish to thank the governments of Canada and Ontario for their significant support, as well as our sponsors.

The Canada Games Council (CGC) and the Foundation for Athletes Sport Training (FAST) have partnered to build the Canada Games FAST Track athlete grant. The program will provide direct financial assistance to Canada’s next generation national team athletes to support their training and competition needs. The grant is designed to fill a gap in Canada’s sport system and support Canada Games-level athletes who are targeted and on the pathway to excellence at the national team level.

The Canada Games FAST Track athlete grant represents one of the new programs under the Canada Games Council’s Dreams and Champions Programs (between-Games initiatives). For FAST, this represents the second year in partnership with the Canada Games Council but the third year where FAST has distributed such grants to next generation national team athletes. This fund has been enhanced in Ontario, through monies donated by the Government of Ontario and administered through FAST.
